Foundation Stage 1 Update
We went on an Autumn walk and talked about the changes we could see in the environment.
We made leaf pictures using paint and broccoli!
We have been reading the story ‘It was a Cold, Dark Night’ and talking about animals that hibernate. We made hedgehog pictures using handprints.
We also made tasty hedgehog bread for our snack.
Thank you to everyone who attended parent’s evening. It was lovely to hear how the children are sharing their learning with you at home.
Here are some of your lovely comments:
“Jake is really enjoying Nursery and tells me very proudly about the different things he does here. I have always said our nursery is a real credit to the start of our children’s education ? Nothing is ever too much trouble and staff are always fast at replying to any concerns – making the starting transition even easier for kids.”
“Since starting Nursery Sophia has learnt lots of new words and songs. Sophia has settled into Nursery really well. She always asks if it’s Nursery tomorrow and if she is going to see her friends.”
“Regan is really happy at Nursery. I am really pleased with how he is settling, although he still gets upset at drop off.
He comes home telling me all the activities he has done that day. He is also telling me about his friends.”
“Mary absolutely loves coming. She has learnt loads and really loves all the teachers. Thank you to you all.”
“It is lovely to read Layken’s learning journey and hear how he is progressing. He really enjoys Nursery and playing with all of the friends he has made.
He thoroughly enjoys Mr H’s music sessions. I feel Layken has settled really well and him coming is great for him – setting him up for full time school.”
“Layla loves coming to Nursery and talks about her friends and what she’s been doing. She’s always singing the songs she’s learnt that day.”
“Riley loves coming to Nursery. I am so happy with the way he has settled in. he is learning so much and we can see that at home too – I am so pleased.”
“Harley has settled into Nursery really well. He enjoys coming everyday. He has also become less shy with other children and more confident with counting and reading.”
