NSPCC Number Day – Friday 7th May
Next Friday 7th May, Aston Lodge will be taking part in the NSPCC Number Day.
NSPCC Number Day is a maths-inspired fundraising event where schools across the UK raise money for the NSPCC. On this day, children take part in a number of maths activities and are encouraged to make a donation and wear an item of clothing with a number on it.
The children can wear football tops/ sports tops with a number on them or create their own piece of ‘numbered’ clothing. Anything goes really as long as they are wearing a number, please!
We are asking all the children to please bring a donation of £1 (or more if they so wish) which will go directly to the NSPCC. As part of the fight for every childhood, the NSPCC works directly with children and families in their service centres across the UK and Channel Islands and gives support to thousands of adults and young people in need through the NSPCC helpline and Childline.
An assembly explaining how the charity helps support children along with sharing the importance of ‘number ‘ in everyday life will take place on the day.
If you have any questions regarding this event including questions about the clothing with a numbered theme, please contact your child’s class teacher via Class Dojo.
We hope your child has fun taking part in the maths activities we have planned and that the event helps them to develop a love for ‘number’ and maths, whilst also supporting the worthwhile NSPCC charity.
Many thanks for your support.
