Hazel Class Update
Hazel Class have had another successful week this week. The trust media team visited our Science lesson this week and took some lovely photos of us exploring plants. We have been learning about how plants absorb water through the roots and how the stem then transports the water to all the different parts of the plant.
As part of this work we investigated by placing flowers in coloured water – we were amazed to see how the water that had been transported to the flower and changed the colour of the flower!
In Geography we have been learning about the climate in the rainforest and reinforcing our learning on where in the world the rainforests are situated.
In English we completed our text that we have been studying – ‘The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark.’ The children participated in some excellent discussion and comprehension work around the text. In Maths Y4 children have been securing their understanding of fractions whilst Y3 have been working on measuring length.
