Heroes Stamp Design Competition
The Royal Mail has launched a new competition to design a stamp!
To take part, the children need to design their own stamp to show who their “Covid Hero” is. This could be anyone they think has worked extra hard during the pandemic, such as teachers, cleaners, supermarket workers or doctors and nurses.
A special panel of judges will pick the winning designs. The final eight stamps will be sent to Her Majesty The Queen before they can be printed and issued.
- Each entry must be hand drawn by your child, must be completely your child’s own original work and must not copy any other work. Drawings must be flat, so no collages, materials or textures. Please also avoid the use of fluorescent inks or highlighter pens.
- Please encourage the children to use lots of colour (no black and white images, please) and to use up as much of the white space in their design as possible (inside the straight-lined box only).
- Children have be given an entry form in class today to draw their design on.
- The competition closes on 28th May and the winners will be announced in the autumn.
If your child is interested in entering the competition, please ask them to return their completed designs back to their teacher no later than 14th May in order for them to be sent off to the competition address.
Thank you and good luck!
