Hazel Class Update
Last week Hazel Class have enjoyed learning about the life cycle of a flowering plant. We dissected a lily flower and revisited the names of the different parts of a flower. We learned that to produce seeds the pollen produced by the male anther has to meet with the ovules in the female part of a flower. We explored how pollinators like bees and other insects pollinate flowering plants.
In art, we revisited primary and secondary colors and explored mixing different shades of green and changing the tint and the tone of the color.
We have been writing the conclusion to a story in English and have been working really hard on making our stories interesting by varying our sentence structure.
In maths, Y3 completed their unit of work on measuring length and perimeter and Y4 started a new unit of work on decimals.
