Hazel Class Update

It has been another very busy week for Hazel Class this week.

In English, we have been working on our reading skills and have been exploring how diagrams and charts in non-fiction texts are a useful way to present information to the reader. We have been reading ‘101 ways to Save the Planet before Bedtime’ by Paul Mason.

In maths Y4 have moved on to learning about decimals and Y3 are working on fractions – both groups have worked really hard.

Children have taken an end-of-unit quiz in Science and have enjoyed learning more about the Rainforests in Geography. They have learnt about the climate in the rainforest and have prepared and presented weather forecasts.

Children are still working hard to ‘Strive for Pride’ and it is great to see so many children completing all of their home learning tasks. Owen won the weekly PRIDE award this week for showing concentration, resilience, and effort in all of his learning last week.

Please remember that Y4 children will be taking their multiplication test in June, so please encourage them to keep logging into TTRS and working on quick recall of all their times table facts.
