Hazel Class Update

Hazel Class have had another successful week. Last week children worked on reading poetry and looked closely at the features of poetry. Mrs Howarth-Smith and Mrs French were both very impressed with the way that children read and discussed the poems that we studied.

In maths, the Y3 children continued to work on fractions, whilst Y4 worked on developing their understanding of calculating money.

In art, the children developed their skills in colour mixing and painting.

We were excited that Mr Watson (a school governor), Mrs Cronin (Headteacher), and Miss Tims (Design technology lead) came to judge our box projects. We can’t wait to see who created the winning project.

The weekly PRIDE winner was Grayson for his continued hard work and drive in Maths. Grayson loves this area of the curriculum and pushes himself really hard to be the best mathematician that he can be. Well done Grayson – Keep up the hard work!

We are really proud to announce that a total of 18 children received a raffle ticket this week for ‘Strive for Pride’, this is the largest number of children yet. Great work Hazel Class!
