Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Ash class had a fantastic trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Wednesday! We saw all kinds of animals from tigers and polar bears, to lemurs and giraffes!

The children could not believe some of the interesting facts they read about each of these animals. We used our science knowledge to find out whether we thought the animals were carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores, and we also thought really carefully about each animal habitat. We learned why some types of tigers are extinct and we learned about tiger habitats being destroyed by deforestation! We observed each animal closely and had lots of interesting discussions about which animal was our favourite.

We really did have an amazing day and it was lovely to see how excited the children were by some of the interesting animals we were lucky enough to see. Not only this, the children really did Aston Lodge proud they showed perfect behaviour too throughout the trip.

Well done Ash class!
