Admissions

No child will be refused admission to the school on any grounds other than if the limit, set by the Governing Body, has been reached in a particular year group, or if to admit a child would prejudice the efficient education of children already in the school.  The Governing Body support a maximum class size of 30.

Please note that all our admissions are processed by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. Links to their applications information and admission arrangements can be found to the right / bottom of this page.

Our published admission number is 210 (240 including FS1).

Joining School Later On
Sometimes children join school when the term has started or later in their school life. We make every effort to make sure they are welcomed, looked after and monitored so that they quickly make friends and can find their way around school. Teachers give pupils time to settle in before making an assessment of their academic ability. The assessment, together with records from their previous school will enable your child to have the best start at our school. Parents are asked to contact school if their child has a problem settling.

Foundation Stage 2

All children enter the Foundation Stage 2 class in the September of the school year in which they have their fifth birthday.  Before children can be admitted to the school a preference form must be submitted to the LEA.  A birth certificate should be presented prior to starting full-time education.

The school should be notified immediately of any changes to your address or contact telephone number.

All parents wishing to visit the school before applying for admission for their child are more than welcome to do so.  Please contact the school office and the Head of School will be happy to take time to show you around, discuss the school and answer any questions that you may have.
