Poppy Day

The FS1 children enjoyed creating Poppies for Remembrance day using their hand prints. We watched the short clip titled ‘Poppies’ on Cbeebies and the children sat beautifully for a whole 2 minutes of silence. 

FS1 Celebrate Children in Need

The children in FS1 enjoyed their spotacular non-uniform day to help raise money for Children in Need.  They enjoyed creating their own Pudsey masks and singing the song ‘Baa baa black sheep, have you any spots?’  They also had a cuddle with our very own Pudsey and Blush.

Anti-Bullying Poster Competition Winners

A massive congratulations to Holly in Year 6 and Alana in Year 5 for winning this year’s anti-bullying poster competition on the theme ‘Let’s make some noise about bullying!’ Their posters will now be displayed throughout school. Well done Holly and Alana!

Mega Mathematicians

Year 5 have had an enjoyable week in maths making square numbers using pegs on peg boards. The children have worked hard to learn the square numbers up to 12×12. Well done Holly Class!

Remembrance Poppy Art

Last week in Art, year 5 began their new learning on ‘collage’. We incorporated the theme of Remembrance Day by making a collage of a poppy with images representing the world wars. The children produced some lovely designs. Well done Year 5!
