Toy Workshop

Last week we were visited by Clifton Park Museum who delivered a toy workshop to Beech Class as part of our History unit ‘Toys and Technology’.

In our first session we spent time investigating different toys from the past. We discussed how these toys are made out of different materials including wood and metal.

For some toys, the volunteer had to show us how the worked because they were really old and would easily break.

Some of the old toys we were allowed to investigate and play with. They were certainly very different to some of the toys we play with today!

In our second session, we made our own finger puppets and used these to tell a story as a class.

We had a brilliant time and a really big thank you to Clifton Park Museum for visiting us!
