Thank you to all the grown ups who joined us for our Christmas Craft morning. The children made lots of crafts to take home including: Robin Baubles, Christmas Pudding Christmas Cards, Penguin Threading Decorations, Party Hats, Reindeer Dust and Snowman Soup.
The children have really enjoyed practising and performing our Christmas Play ‘The Wriggly Nativity’. They have learnt lots of new songs!
Autumn Walk We went on an Autumn walk and talked about the changes we could see in the environment. We made leaf pictures using paint and broccoli! So far this half term we have read the following books which have had many activities in Nursery linked to them: Owl babies – we acted out the story using puppets and props and learnt about nocturnal animals. We want to encourage a love of books and reading in Nursery and we have been busy promoting this. The children have all adopted a Bedtime Reading Pet who they read with each night. If children have a bedtime story 5 times a week they receive a raffle ticket in our golden bag. A winner [...]
The children are loving our Monday morning music sessions with Mr H and his ukulele. The children are learning many new songs and it is a lovely start to the week in Nursery. Mr H will be helping us with our Christmas performance songs after half term.
A big thank you to all our parents who joined us and donated at our Macmillan coffee morning. We raised £78.37!
We have been working hard to develop our outdoor area. It is lovely to see the children busy and enjoying the new areas!
The children have loved the different activities for World Book Day this week – from ‘book in a box’ to reading buddies with the year 6 children to sharing books with their parents in our ‘stay and read’ session. But most of all, the children loved coming dressed as their favourite book characters…
