Art in Y6

Yesterday in Art, our Year 6 pupils focused on carefully painting their pieces inspired by the work of Caroline Appleyard. They have been working incredibly hard over the past few weeks to develop their ideas and include lots of intricate detail in their designs.

During this session, the children applied a range of skills they have been learning, including layering, blending, and careful brush control, to bring their final watercolour paintings to life. It was wonderful to see the creativity and pride in their work as they added the finishing touches to their pieces.

The results are already looking amazing, and it’s clear that the children have put a huge amount of effort and thought into creating their own unique interpretations of Appleyard’s style. Well done!
