Today, Year 1 and Year 6 enjoyed a very special treat for the last day of term! Mrs Pirie brought in her ice hockey equipment to share with the children, as she plays for The Shadows, an ice hockey team based in Sheffield. The children loved learning about a new sport and discovering the importance of safety and protective equipment in ice hockey. They had the opportunity to try on jerseys, shoulder pads, neck guards, elbow protection, and even hold hockey sticks.
It was a fantastic hands-on experience that sparked lots of excitement and curiosity. Thank you, Mrs Pirie, for giving the children such a fun and memorable afternoon!
