Last week, FS1 were introduced to our Literacy topic on Nursery Rhymes.
They learnt the words to Twinke Twinkle Little Star, as well as Makaton signs to accompany this. The children tried so hard with their signing!
They also created starry night pictures after reading the story ‘How To Catch A Star’ by Oliver Jeffers. After this, they made star headbands, and baked star shaped biscuits with the class. The biscuits were then decorated with star sprinkles, icing, and ‘moon dust’.
