Remembrance Day in Y6

This morning at 11am, Y6 took their annual visit to the local cenotaph to take part in the two minutes’ silence in remembrance of those who have served and sacrificed for our country. The children recited the poignant poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ with great respect and reflection, before placing their own handmade poppies, each carrying a personal message of remembrance, at the cenotaph. It was a moving experience and a meaningful way for our pupils to honour this important day.

Well done, Y6!
