As part of their History topic, Y5 visited Kelham Island Industrial Museum in Sheffield, a fantastic example of the Wickersley Partnership Trust’s Enrichment Promise in action.
During the visit, the children took part in a ‘Steel City’ workshop, learning how the Industrial Revolution shaped Sheffield into the city it is today. They also had time to explore the museum and discover its fascinating exhibits, experiencing history in a hands-on and engaging way.
It was a brilliant day that brought their classroom learning to life while giving them a deeper understanding of the local area and its history.
