Last week, EYFS brought ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ to life through a range of exciting activities! The children worked together to create a whole-class story map, using photographs from their own bear hunt to remember and sequence the events. They then used actions and role play to retell the story, adding their own marks to the map to represent their ideas.
Building on this shared experience, the children went on to create their own story maps, using key vocabulary to retell the story with growing confidence and independence. It was wonderful to see their creativity and enthusiasm as they developed their storytelling skills. Well done, everyone!
