Y2/3 Art

This half term in Art, Y2/3 have been busy learning about the artists Thomas Gainsborough and George Freeman. They learnt that both artists often painted portraits of the rich and powerful, using paints.

The children are working towards sketching their own self portraits, so last week they spent some time practicing the different sketching skills they will need to create their self portraits. Everyone tried to sketch different styles of mouths, noses, eyes, and ears before deciding which looked most like their own.

Great work, Beech Class!
