Y5 Ulley Trip
On Tuesday 17th June, Y5 went on a trip to Ulley Reservoir. They all listened to the instructor fantastically, and were brave enough to go onto the water in their kayaks. Everyone did such a brilliant job, and learnt so many new skills. Well done, Y5! #WeListenToOthers
One Voice
This week, Aston Lodge had a brilliant time at the Rotherham ‘One Voice’ event. The school was commented on by members of the public and leaders for being well-behaved, enthusiastic, and giving 100% effort. Well done to everyone who took part, and for representing the school so well. You’re all absolute superstars! #WeAreRespectful
Y2/3 Art
This half term in Art, Y2/3 have been busy learning about the artists Thomas Gainsborough and George Freeman. Skipping Festival
Yesterday, children from Aston Lodge took part in the Rotherham School Games Skipping Festival. Everyone has improved in their confidence, sports skills, and teamwork whilst practicing their routines over the past six months. They have done a fantastic job, and should be super proud of themselves. Well done, Aston Lodge! #WeWorkHard
Ancient Egypt in Y3/4
Recently, Y3/4 have been enjoying their non-fiction text about Ancient Egypt. The children learnt all about food the rich and the poor ate, and then used their retrieval skills to answer some questions about the book. Fantastic work, well done! #WeWorkHard
Learning Outside in Y3/4
Before half term, Hazel Class loved taking their learning outside of the classroom. They read a poem all about woodland creatures and tiptoed around the field, using their senses to gain a better understanding of what they learnt while reading about them. Great work, Y3/4! #WeAreAlwaysLearning
FS1 Explore Space
This week, FS1 explored the topic of Space! The children had lots of fun creating their space pictures, using potatoes to print various planets. Supertatoes in FS2!
