Y6 Coal Mining Museum Trip

Last Friday, the Year 6 children had a fabulous time at the National Coal Mining Museum. They experienced an underground mine tour, and learnt what life was like for families working in the mine during the Victorian era. Finally, the National Coal Mining Museum have some ponies, which the children were lucky enough to meet.

Everyone concluded that it is far better to be educated in a school, than to be a Victorian child working in the mines! Overall, throughout the day, there were lots of interactive learning and lots of memorable experiences.
