This week, the whole of Aston Lodge had an incredible time as they were joined by the talented artist James Brunt. James, along with Henry from the Children’s Capital of Culture, worked with pupils of all ages to get them involved in creating art in a fun and interactive way.
Each class went outside to explore the school grounds, collecting a wide variety of natural items such as leaves, sticks, stones, and flowers. Using these materials, the children worked together to produce a stunning, whole-school piece of art that showcased their creativity and teamwork.
It was wonderful to see pupils fully engaged, experimenting with colours, textures, and shapes while learning from a professional artist. The day was not only an artistic success but also a fantastic opportunity for the children to connect with nature, work collaboratively, and see how individual contributions can come together to create something truly special.
A huge thank you to James and Henry for making this such a memorable and inspiring day for everyone at Aston Lodge!
