In Art, FS2 have been learning about the artist Piet Mondrian. They explored his use of lines, squares, rectangles, and the primary colours red, blue, and yellow. The children looked closely at his artwork, discussing what they could see and sharing their ideas. They then created their own pictures in a similar style, using bold lines and simple shapes.
Throughout the unit, they developed their fine motor skills by carefully drawing lines, painting, and arranging shapes to produce their own Mondrian-inspired artwork. Well done!
