This afternoon, Y6 began their new science topic, Living Things – Plants and Animals. They discussed why it is important to group and classify different animals, helping the children to better understand the world around them.
To bring this learning to life, everyone had a go at classifying liquorice allsorts, using their characteristics to decide how they could be grouped. Y6 did a fantastic job of asking the right questions and identifying clear features to support their classifications. A great start to the topic!
