In Maths, year 5 enjoyed exploring ‘cube’ numbers. They built cubes and found out the first five cube numbers are 1, ( 1 x 1 x 1) 8, ( 2 x 2 x 2) 27, ( 3 x 3 x 3) , 64 ( 4 x 4 x 4) and 125 ( 5 x 5 x 5) !
They were shocked to discover that 64 is both a square AND a cube number! Great maths exploring Holly Class!
We have absolutely loved trailing our new Maths programme IXL. Already the children have answered 5.900 questions, spent over 20 hours practising maths and acquired over 100 maths skills!
