With Me In Mind Workshop!

Today, Beech Class were lucky enough to take part in a With Me In Mind Workshop all about emotional regulation. The children discussed how they might show how they are feeling in different scenarios, but also how they might be feeling things that they can’t see.

They used an image of an iceberg to show how we can see how people feel e.g. if someone cries, we know they are upset. Under the iceberg, the children included lots of ways they might feel that people may not be able to see. Afterwards, Y2/3 learnt about lots of different techniques that they could use to help them regulate themselves, such as saying five things they could see, four things they can feel, three things they can hear, two things they can smell, and one thing they can taste.

The children will be trying to use some of these techniques in the classroom, to help them regulate their emotions. Great work everyone!
