Last week, Aston Lodge celebrated Number Day with lots of exciting maths-based activities taking place across the school. It was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to see how maths links to everyday life and to enjoy learning in a fun, practical way. There were also a number of ‘best dressed’ awards given out for the best number-themed outfits, which added to the celebrations and creativity across the school.
As part of the celebrations, Year 6 consolidated their learning on ratio by making mocktails. Pupils carefully measured each ingredient according to the given ratios, following recipes accurately and applying their mathematical understanding with confidence.
It was wonderful to see pupils across the school engaging so positively with maths, bringing their learning to life through real-world activities. Well done to everyone who took part!
