This week, the children had an exciting visit to the Austerfield Study Centre for a Bear Hunt Experience, part of the WPT Enrichment Promise, which gives students hands-on opportunities to explore learning beyond the classroom.
In the morning, they went on a Bear Hunt, following the bear prints and re-enacting the story with lots of enthusiasm. Once they reached the woods, they worked together to create their very own cave for the bear to live in, using natural materials and their imagination.
In the afternoon, the children met a range of fascinating minibeasts and animals. They were able to observe them closely and even had the chance to hold some, learning about their habitats and behaviours. It was a fun, hands-on day full of discovery and outdoor learning that the children really enjoyed.
