Year 6 Sycamore Class have been working so hard with their Home Learning this week. They have been learning about fractions, improving their comprehension skills and learning about Mexico. Well done, Sycamore class!  

Sycamore class had a lovely time together celebrating Christmas dinner – whether it be traditional turkey or home sandwiches.

On Friday afternoon, Sycamore class got the chance to experience climbing at the Trust’s indoor climbing wall at Cranworth. All the children demonstrated real resilience and drive. Last week, Sycamore had a virtual workshop from the Anne Frank Trust learning all about Anne Frank’s story and the dangers of different forms of prejudice and discrimination. The children asked many relevant and purposeful questions and offered valuable and intelligent contributions – well done Sycamore class!  

Sycamore Class have been busy researching, designing and making World War II Anderson Shelters.

Sycamore Class have been busy learning about Remembrance Day and have produced some excellent artwork using pencil crayon and watercolours. They have also enjoyed raising money for 'Children in Need' on Friday 13th November. The children dressed up and enjoyed a wonderful Tea party whilst learning about the charity and watching a film! Here are some photos from our recent visit to Crucial Crew where the children learned about the dangers of knife crime, how to cross the road safely, the signs of child exploitation, the problems with peer pressure, fire safety and arson alongside breaking the law and the court system.
