Year 5 and 6 bowling team

A huge congratulations to our year 5 and 6 bowling team. All the children did remarkably well and managed to come 2ND overall in the competition. Everyone had fun and the children had an amazing time!! Well done team lodge bowling!

Musical Talent in Holly Class

Holly class has been learning how to play the glockenspiel with Mrs Gibbons in their music lessons. There has been some great musical talent on show! Well done Holly Class!

iMoves Programme

Holly class has been enjoying using our new ‘imoves’ programme inbetween lessons to ‘wake us up ready for learning’ and ‘help burn off all our extra energy! So far we’ve danced to ‘Shut up and Dance’ and ‘5,6,7,8’. We have some super movers in Holly Class!

Holly Class Computing Skills

In Computing the children have enjoyed working in teams to research ways in which technology has impacted the environment. Each group looked at a different element. Some researched battery dumps, some carbon footprint, some e-waste and some digital pollution. The children fed back their findings to the class. Well done Holly Class!

Writing Mystery Stories

The children in Hazel class have been thoroughly engaged in writing their mystery stories using the novel ‘Cliffhanger’ by Jacqueline Wilson as inspiration. The children have been working hard  to include adverbials of time in their writing. Well done Hazel class!

FS1 Park Trip

The FS1 children took a spontaneous trip to Aston Lodge park on Monday. The children were all very well behaved and enjoyed the slides, the swings and the sunshine. We also looked at the fallen leaves on the way back and how they were changing colour due to our changing season.
