FS2 Reading Activities
This week in literacy FS2 are reading the story Handa’s Surprise. The children have enjoyed tasting the fruits Handa’s took for her friend Akeyo and writing sentences to describe what each fruit tastes like. We created a bar chart to discover which fruit was the children’s favourite too. Well done FS2!
Y6 Booster Sessions 🧠
Miss Jenkinson and the KS2 team are so proud of all of their Y6 class for their dedication to booster sessions. The pupils have been focusing on their SPAG skills and applying it to their writing. How amazing to have a full class attendance after school! Well done Y6. 📝🤍

UKS2 Wall Climbing
Just before their Christmas break, Upper KS2 had the opportunity to visit the WPT Climbing Wall. Both Y5 and Y6 had a great time and learnt a lot about staying resilient and setting targets. Thank you to our PE team for giving us this experience every year – we had the best time! 🧗♀️🧗♂️
Sycamore Class Explore Natural Disasters
Sycamore Class have made a start on their new Geography topic, Natural Disasters, this week! We have begun by studying the continent North America: looking at what surrounds it, its physical features and studying the countries and islands within it – in an atlas. 🗺🧭
Year 6 Class Novel 📖
Year 6 have started reading their new class novel, ‘Holes’, this week – after looking at the blurb and building their background knowledge. The children are doing a great job at practising reading fluently during their echo reading activities. 🦎
A Viking Experience for Hazel Class
As part of their History topic on the Vikings, Hazel class visited the dig and the Jorvik Viking Centre. ⚔🛡 The children experienced life as an archaeologist and they also learnt about raids and battles during the Viking period. The children were certainly very knowledgeable by the end of the experience.
