Y6 Science

In science, we have been learning about evolution. We learnt that evolution is a change in a species over a long period of time. Charles Darwin found this when he studied Galapagos Finches; their beak changed in different areas, depending on the food available.

The children experimented using this theory by trying to pick up different types of bird ‘food’ with their ‘beaks’ (tongs, gloves, tweezers, and clips). They noted what was easier and harder to pick up and why.🦜🧤
