Holly Class have a Busy Half Term

Holly Class have had a busy half term learning about lots of new topics!

As part of PSHE they have been learning the importance of team work. They were set a challenge to work in small teams to produce a pop-up book based on a traditional story.

Each team had to assign different roles to each of their members to ensure everyone was involved in making decisions.

Using their previously acquired DT skills about different types of joins, the groups worked hard to achieve great results. Well done Holly class on ‘working together’.

In Art they have been learning how to colour mix with water colours in preparation for their L.S.Lowry painting.

The children were tasked with mixing greys and earthy tones which will be in keeping with Lowry’s style.

The children did a fantastic job!

This term, Holly class took part in the British Sign Language week.

The children watched a live link showing them the BSL alphabet and explaining the importance of everyone learning how to sign.

Holly class thoroughly enjoyed the session and practised signing each of the letters with their partner.

What a great skill to learn – well done! 👏
