Over the past year we have been working closely in partnership with our local council to improve the children’s understanding and awareness of democracy, and educate them on how they can have an impact in their community and beyond.
We have discussed educating students about future careers and how we can inspire future Scientists and Engineers.
Generously, they offered our Y5s and Y6s the fantastic opportunity to attend a STEM workshop at Magna fully funded.
The students had an amazing time and to show their gratitude they wrote letters to the councillors.
They thanked them for the experience, shared with them what they got out of it and what were their favourite parts of the trip. They were so impressed with the letters and they have asked if they can come into school to talk to the children further.
