Year 6 Geography Learning 🌊

In Geography, we have been learning about how a tsunami occurs and the effects they have on a place. To do this, we made a model tsunami in a box!

First, we built a solid house structure, which we believed could withstand the natural disaster. Then, we placed sand in our box and popped it on higher ground. We used branches from outside to act as trees and then used mirrors to push the water towards our structure.

Pupils watched their houses become displaced, the trees fall down and the land underneath be completely destroyed. 🌊🏠
