Y6 had a super fun PSHE lesson, learning how to cope with stresses and worries. First, we spoke about who could support us when we feel stressed.
We then spoke about any worries during SATS, and how we are all connected by the same thing. We spoke about the different ways in which we are connected to others in our class, and created a big web of people who can relate to our own worries.
Y6 then tested out ways to reduce stress on a carousel activity:
– The importance of nutrition and making healthy choices
– Mindful colouring
– Writing down our worries in a worry jar
– Connecting with our table using paper chains
– Positive affirmations
We have all really enjoyed working with our groups and helping them to unwind, by listening to calming music and having lots of fun.
Well done Y6!
