Y6 loved visiting the National Coal Mining Museum this week as part of their History topic.
All of us went underground, into the pit, to see what life was like for miners – even in such dark conditions!
We then had a tour around the Pit Baths to see how miners would get ready for the day and clean themselves afterwards, then, finished off by seeing the pit ponies. 🐴⛏
