On Wednesday 23rd October, Mr Walker visited school to deliver a training session to our new Sports Leaders. In order to become a leader all children were given the opportunity to fill in an application form and once chosen, they were given their very own lanyard so they are visible on the playground.
Mr Walker delivered his training program and spoke to them about communication, leadership and how to work with younger children during play times. The session also provided the new leaders with some ideas for different activities they could deliver to fellow classmates.
Our leaders will now begin to deliver activities and games at lunchtimes, using brand new equipment. Hopefully this will make our play times more fun and enjoyable for all the other children! 🤩👏
