Each month as part of our career’s curriculum, children learn about a variety of job roles and skills, as we’re always following the Aston Lodge Way, ‘To Aim High’. Students regularly get the opportunity to share assemblies and attend Q&As to ask adults about their profession, and how they achieved their goals. They learn about a range of different careers, and which subjects, and skills they are linked to. In previous months, this has included Historians, Referees, Doctors, Authors, and Politicians, just to name a few!
This week at Aston Lodge, we have focused on musical based careers. We had the amazing opportunity of being visited by the Rocksteady band. During the concert, students got to rock out and learn all about different types of music, instruments, and careers. As well as this, they also took part in an Unbeatable Energy ‘Rubbish Rhythms’ workshop, where they also discussed sustainability, and used tin cans, flip-flops and bottles as instruments.
Everyone had such an amazing time and behaved brilliantly, well done Aston Lodge!
