This week, we have been working hard in Geography in order to understand earthquakes. Tectonic plates form the crust of our Earth, which fit together like a jigsaw. They are constantly moving – causing earthquakes.
Â
The children cut out a tectonic jigsaw to gain the understanding that tectonic plates are not just split based on where your continent or country is.Â
Â
The children now know that if you are situated in a place near to the meeting of two tectonic plates, you are more likely to experience more frequent earthquakes. 🌎
